burnt Mk1 was : Re: hello?

it looks like the Damage has been confined to the right side of the engine
bay (driver's side). the parts I'd need are a battery, wiring harness, brake
fluid resevior, airbox, fuel dist., injector lines, fuel lines, Vaccum
lines, airbox side intake boot, and that nifty chunk of pipe that goes from
the airbox to the TB. Other than that, there's the painting of the hood, and
the wiring. I haven't checked yet but I might need a new speedo cable,
throttle cable and I don't know about the shift mech.

I'm trying to be as happy as possible, all things considered, but I don't
know if I should keep this car. i've replaced almost everything that I now
have to replace again, and I've even gone through and fixed every other
little problem with it in the last 6 months, so now that it has no faults
(except a dramatic LACK of horsepower) it decides that it would be a good
time to blow up, almost as if to say "You haven't put any money into me
except for Gas in the last month, I want you to spend on me!"

By the way, Great site! I like the fact that it's got a link to the
Scirocco.org forums at http://www.techography.com/scirocco
. Your site is the place I go when I want to show people those forums, and
usually I show them around your site as well! Keep up the good work!
