try that with a DIGIFIZ, hehehe :-)


the real bad thing on a DIGIFIZ is, that  it stops
counting after having reached 300.000km and only displays dashes then.

I don't know what this feature should be good for,
but it is described that way in the official VW internal service manual.

I've adjusted a few while moving them between cars to keep the mileages
accurate.

i met this kid yesterday with an '84 rocco. while checkin' out his car i
noticed his odometer read 516 miles. i casually said something like, oh, you
got a new gauge huh? he responded " no, thats the original odometer. i took
it out and hooked it up to my dads dremel, stuck it in reverse and let the
miles roll off. it moves really slow though, it took 3 and 1/2 months of
straight running to roll of 96,000 miles."
