Cabriolet Top needed

Craig,

Good ole JC Whitney has brand new replacements in three grades for
$150-$250. Rocky Mountain Motorworks (www.motorworks.com) has the original
Hartz cloth version for just shy of $500.

I bought the JCW lifetime vinyl version for $179, it took me and a helper
about 6 hours to install (having never done it before, I could prolly do it
again in 4 hours). Prolly a 5 of 10 for mechanical difficulty, 8 of 10 for
sheer PITA factor.

Buying a used top is asking for trouble as the seams get rather stressed for
a particular car and the chances of removing one intact is very small. IMHO,
given the work required to install it, the cost savings of a used top is a
false economy.

Cheers,

Christian Els
