seat parts interchangeability?

I have the chance of a pristine late model MKI golf cabrio drivers seat to 
cannibalise for parts.  Is the seat back compatible with a scirocco base?  
The cabrio seat is a cloth 'sport' seat with the bigger bolsters and my 
seats are leather. The back on my seat is broken.  As a supplementary 
question: has anyone used cloth seat bolsters to replace ones for a leather 
seat, either on the base or back? Mine are shot.
