Intake manifold questions ...

I have the Audi Fox intake manifold on my 84 8v, The biggest advantage
is that the intake will accept the larger throttle body without any need to
port. It is bolt on compatible with a few location changes for the fifth
injector and the auxiliary air valve. None of which are difficult if you
save the hoses from the Audi. There are a few sites out there showing a
procedure to move the fifth injector to the stock Scirocco location. I
found no problems using the Audi location. It also keeps the cold start
fuel and the air intakes next to each other as originally designed.
I also sanded the intake to remove all the casting marks and had it
powder coated (aluminum color) along with a G60 valve cover.
If you want to see any pictures or have any additional questions let me
know and I will send them along.
One final note, this is probably the last 'bolt on' modifications that
can be done. You will probably not see any noticeable gains unless the
exhaust and cam have been increased first.
