My best upgrade yet! back on topic

Interesting. I put a new windshield on my MkII about two years ago. =
With about 18K miles on it, it now looks like my old Chevy van's =
windshield did at 190K miles. (while the van's replacement windshield =
looks barely used w/ 90K miles on it)
Is it that the aerodynamic shape of the Scirocco directs a =
disproportionate amount of debris (pronounce it deb-bree, I've been =
watching way too much touring car racing on TV) onto it's windscreen? =
(oops, there I go again)
I realize it sits much lower than a van, but, even then.....

I took my first trip with my new and clear windshield. 80 nice miles =

driving. The problem is that the trip was 400 miles. I now have TWO
stone chips! With luck like that, I shutter to think what will happen
if I put on euro bumpers.
I did get to see Peters Scirocco collection. It made me sad that I =

up on my MKI.
