OT, another '97 question-this time a possible locked up radio.

The head unit is powered. But the problem lies with the ignition switch.
Unlike our Roccos, in the the jetta, or in your case the GTI, the radio will
only come on if the key is in the ignition and the key has been turned to the
run position. So when you did the ignition switch something got fucked up
with switch wire that tells the radio the key is in the ignition. Sounds
like you've got to crack open the column again Good luck
