Converting points to electronic - info needed...



Basically, everything you listed and the coil!  When I switched to
electronic ignition I replaced the wire to the fuse box since the one that
runs the points ignition system is a resistor wire lowering the voltage to
the coil, then you just wire the system up to power and a ground.  So since
you have + at the coil, you only need to ground it!!  Check the Bentley for
specific wiring colors/etc. but it is fairly simple!

I never paid attention to it but I guess the advance/reteard curve could be
different for different vehicles.  I think the setup I had came out of a GTI
but I can't even say for sure that there is a difference.  Might be worth
checking out though!
