Can I run the 81 fuel distributor w/o the frequency valve?

The 80 didn't come with a frequency valve, but it does now :)  Can I
just leave it in the fuel circuit, without any electrical connections?

Should I block off the two ports where it connects to the distributor,
or just leave it.

No, just swap over the non-freq hard steel line, to the newer fuel distributor.
