alternator swap - resolution?

Checking battery ground cables is the first check to make on a car with
electrical problems, Check for poor/corroded connections, ideal voltage drop
should not exceed 0.2 volt across connections, test from battery post to
cable clamp(possible source of bad connection) and clean/replace if needed.
test voltage drop from alt housing ground to engine/battery ground also.

"take some voltages at full load: +batt to +alt: .6
> volts. -batt to -alt: .8 volts." Did you do this with a RPM of 2000? if
not you need to retest doing so.

If you need I can scan some test proceedures for you from an electrical
diagnosis book (may be large size though for your e-mail?) Hope this helps.
