Another Oil Pressure Problem

All main and rod bearings can be changed with the engine in the car.
So can the pump, no problem. You need a 10mm wobbler socket (I like my
1/8" drive) to get to the last few pan bolts by the bellhousing.

Be sure you check your pressure both at the head and at the pump flange
to get a better idea of where any problems might lie. IIRC your
existing pressure sender is at the pump, no?

BTW a 2.0L 16V pump works fine, I have one. My local import FLAPS guy
(a VW nut) also supplies lots of area mechanics' shops, and has never
had a complaint about the Brazilian ones, so I have one of those and am
happy.
