There is Cruising and then there is Cruising Music

Besides songs that lend themselves to driving, esp over long distances
or through the twisty mountain passes there is another classification of
sounds that apply to rolling around the neighborhood in 1st & 2nd gear:

"From the Ocean comes a notion, one with Real Eyes, realize..."

Damn near anything done by George Clinton, Parliament, Funkadelic,
Bootsie Collins makes for good 'cruising music'.

One night in particular 'My Buddy Al' (he's a real person, don't believe
me if you don't want to) and I were rolling around Jack London Square in
Oakland California. On the sound system was <insert old school pre-rap
master> , doing a cameo on an <new school master of current urban
information> album.

Due to the clarity of the recording and the system installed in the car
(don't rattle your license plate unless you intend to) the young men on
the corner were suitably impressed in the proper manner with Scirocco
Content that they were compelled to ask the perennial question: "Hey
Man, what is that car?"

The reply?

'Just a bucket....'

And we rolled on.....

Bet I'll have a CD of 'music to drive by' soon.
Thx for the suggestions.
