Warm start issues

Hey guys,

I have an '82 1.7L 8v. It's had this problem ever since I first drove it.
It always starts good when it's cold, though it doesn't "high idle" (are
they supposed to?) If I warm it up, shut it off, and try to start it
within an hour, that's when I have problems. It cranks, cranks and cranks,
stumbles a bit, cranks some more. Sometimes it seems like it's going to
start, but then it quickly dies right away. after cranking it for a little
while, it always eventually starts. Then it idles really rough for a few
seconds, then all of a sudden smooths out. otherwise the car runs like a
top. Super smooth, lots of power, revs great. I've always sorta figured it
must be a residual fuel pressure thing that I'll never figure out. Any
takers?

Thanks guys

Vince
