[tech] weird starting and rough acceleration

If you turn the key to the on position and leave it. The fuel gauge shouls 
come up. If you then crank the engine, does the fuel gauge go down?
Sounds like you have the switched 12v to the coil on the On pos, but not the 
start.
Check the switch and the load reduction relay.
