Using A2 rear Disks upside down on A1 Drum upgrade.

I have A3 rear calipers on my car (8months now). Yes, you switch sides and
mount upside down, and they go on and look like the regular 16V calipers. I
just remove the top pin, swing the caliper down to bleed. The ebrake
mechanism is fully enclosed inside, so no more binding/seizing. Further,
the calipers are about half the cost (brand new) of replacement 16V
calipers.

I recall when I bought the A3 calipers they were being advertised as
replacements for A2. From that I would think that you could mount A2
calipers on an A1 in the same manner, but I would suggest jsut using the A3
calipers anyway.
