I usually buy the dryer from www.gapa.com or www.germanautoparts.com its
pretty cheap, get seals from dealership like a few pennies each.

=>Ok, I've been reading all these posts regarding R134a conversions and I
=>almost have my nerve up to try it. As I read your posts it seems that one
=>should replace the dryer and then use the Walmart kit et al to put in the
=>R134a.
=>
=>Do most Flaps have the dryer if not then from where can I get one?
=>
=>And have I understood the process completely?
=>
=>P.S. finally got my sunroof to tilt up so that may be the next project.

=> Well after 2 days of running the A/C with the conversion. It
=>seems to me
=>just as cold as the R-12 was. Cools the car down quite nicely, and I am in
=>south florida with 95 degree heat and 90 % humidity. I did not vacuum out
=>the system, I did change the dryer, which is real easy to do and
=>cheap, only
=>like $20. If your going to do the conversion, I would change out
=>the dryer
=>at the same time I think this is what makes the difference.
