Cams

I assume it's a 16V car. If timing is OK, and the plug wires are =
connected to the distributor right, the valve cover is on and ALL the =
little ground wires on the back of it connected, then it should start. =
One more thing to check is the cam sprocket, the side that has the VW =
logo and the word "England" should face the engine. I think it's =
possible to install it the other way screwing up the timing and possibly =
trashing your head. Remember if you get it started, keep it revved up at =
2000 rpm to break in the cams.
