Shaving my bottom...

Yeap. Which was another good benefit because the ones on the sides
(hip/kidney region) were too low and very uncomfortable. Now they're
perfect. It also helped to move me down enough so that the shoulder harness
holes in the back of the seat are now almost properly lined up with the tops
of my shoulders, and not my arm-pits.

Another note, the bottom cushion is much stiffer now, but not uncomfortable.
I haven't experienced any unpleasantness from sitting in it for up to an
hour at a time (haven't taken a longer drive yet).

Also, I still need to trim the bracket down a little, but that's what I get
for being almost 6'2" and driving a scirocco.

Josh,
Does this effectively make the side bolsters "higher" as well?
