William-
  I just checked my cold 16V. ...the upper hose feels like no water in =
it.=20
Then I realized why; the little hose that goes to the overflow tank. =
This little hose is literally open to air (air in the tank, but air =
nontheless). So the tank is a semi-large volume of air that the water =
in the big hose can be squeezed into....
Since my 'roc is running just fine, I'd have to say "No worries, Mate."

  I've been having some cooling system problems and I think I finally =
have them solved, but I just want to double check something that just =
doesn't seem right. My 16v upper radiator hose just never seems to have =
water in it. When the car is hot, the hose seems to be very =
pressureized but when I squeeze it, it just feels like it's full of air. =
 When the car is cold, the hose is under no pressure and still just =
feels like there is air in there. Is this right? Could any of you with =
a 16v check this for me and let me know please?
