(ot) got an idea



I've actually considered doing the same conversion. I have the opportunity
to pick up an '87 Audi 4000 quattro CS with a motor that burns oil.
Replacing the tired lump with one from a 5000 turbo would make for some nice
power, but... the conversion isn't easy or cheap. VW motors can be had for a
song and a dance, on the other hand. Furthermore, the car's weight
distribution would be improved nicely.
