ISO: old school rebuildable strut bearings

Hey gang, 

Trolling for a few parts.... 

A buddy of mine is building a GTI Cup car and is desperately seeking a set
of the old style strut bearings.   I used to have access at a local pick n
pull, but it's getting tougher to find them.....

These are the units that came in very early Sciroccos and Rabbits, as well
as Dashers and Audi Fox.   They were popularized by Autotech who sold them
with poly bits( to replace the stock rubber parts) as Heavy Duty Strut
Bearings.  Unfortunately, Autotech no longer sells them as the steel pieces
are no longer available from VW.     

The actual ball bearings are still available, as are the poly bits, but the
stamped steel parts are a tough find.    

Anyone got a set they'd be willing to part with?  Or know of a place to
purchase these?
