anyone familiar with the Option 6 setup?

What is the typical gearing with these transmissions? Is sixth just a
little taller ie .75 or .71 or are the other gears shorter ie a fisrt
gear of 3.67 or 3.84 or the like. I'm guessing they'll put in whatever
one prefers but wondering what is the best use. 
 
Yeah...like I could ever afford one for my 'Roc. Still it is intriguing.
I think I would use shorter gears like I suggested for acceleration and
use the added 6th for highway use.

ok, there is a mainshaft extension (which extends the stock mainshaft),
5th and 6th have to be narrowed by machining them down (in width), there
is a trans case extension (bolt on type) with the mainshaft end bearing
integrated somehow in order to make it a narrower assembly. even with
all of this narrowing it still extends the tranny case enough to warrant
cutting a 'u' in the inner fender for clearance.

Could someone enlighten me on the specifics?
 
How much length is welded onto the tranny case? The few pix I've seen
have it protruding into the wheel well.
 
How much would the shift linkage have to be modified? What mod's need to
be performed?
 
Is the 6th put on the pinion shaft or the main shaft (pinion shaft,
right)? How is that shaft lengthened to accommodate the 6th (typically a
0.71 5th, right)? Or is it swapped from some other car?
 
My brain is feeling curious today....Ron - would this be a way to
supplement your income?  ;)
