    Yes it is the receiver/dryer.  As soon as they are exposed to open
environment they try to dry it out and fail.  Only buy a new one, I think
they are about  $50 at the local parts store.  Don't forget the lubricating
oil you add in with the refrigerant.  And finally, are you converting to the
new refrigerant?
