Shifter bushing kit

I've gotten all bushings installed and things are a lot better however
the ball of the shift lever has a lot of play to where it translates to
at least a .25" if not .5" variation underneath the car at the reverse
lock out rod (for want of a better description)My bushing set came from
the local VW dealership with the shift lever repair kit.

Question - Is there a better aftermarket kit (not counting short shift
kits)

Other question - what fuel injection seal kit do you guys recommend and
are they available from our list supporters. I got a set again from the
local VW dealer and not all the seals fit my injectors.

Last question this post. - I'm preparing to camp out with the Bentley
for a while but maybe one of you guys will know immediately. In checking
out things I noticed yet another sensor on my cylinder head with nothing
attached to it. This one juts out in the same direction as the
distributor and is on the back side of the end of the head, normally
hidden by the distributor. For reference there is another connector on
the end of the head in front of the distributor, same orientation, that
has a flat connector. The one in back that I am interested in has the
button kind of connector. HTH

BTW I have an '87 16V Pl engine
