Dead Scirocco/stranded woes

Do you get spark?  Pull a plug and check.. When this happened to my 16v,
it was a bum hall-effect sensor. Coincidently, it happened after a night
of drunken debauchery at my friend's bachelor party.  Apparantly the demon
of scirocco failures smiles kindly on drunks by preventing them from
driving home.
