What page in the Bently book does it say for replacing shift bushings

My main problem besides the idle on my 84 is the
shifter. I believe it is the shift busings since a
friend of mine looked under the car and saw that they
were worned out but only fixed the reverse by puting a
screw in it.  Since my second gear is bad and grinds I
need to fix it, but I looked all over in the Bently
book about it and it has no mentioning on it.  I have
the 1980-1984 Rabbit, Jetta, Scirocco book
