Re: Door latches



Assuming you are talking about the outer door handle then, yes it is a 
simple swap once you have removed the handle, no specialised tools required. 
Put the key in the lock before removing the barrel: amongst other things, 
when you remove the barrel from the lock, it will prevent you from getting 
the brass sliders mixed up - they are spring loaded but only likely to be a 
problem if the lock is really dry and the sliders ping out. No great 
problem, just consumes a bit more time having to work out which one goes 
where. Otherwise, should be a 10/20 minute job to do the swap. Would be 
useful to have some white grease to repack the lock before reassembly but 
not strictly necessary.
