89 golf parts? into MK1?

I have a chance to buy a nice 89 golf Wolfsburg for $200, because it
doesnt have a title, are most the parts interchangable (engine, seats
and such)
since the engine is digifant what would i have to do to get that into
the mk1, what would be the best way about doing the conversion? ANyone
have any tips or suggestions.
