Dash lights

I just bought a instrument cluster from the junk yard and was curious how 
the lights come out. I've tried twisting, straight pulling etc. I'm afraid 
I'm gonna break them. I'm sure there's a simple answer so the first of you 
that can make me feel like an idiot with the answer I will hold in utmost 
appreciation :)
