I went through an elusive hot-starting problem awhile back
on my '80.  First, check your fuel pressure accumulator
near the fuel pump.  (Bentley has a test for it).  You've
replaced the fuel distributor (what mine ended up being) so
that's not a likely culprit.  Have you checked to make sure
the cold start valve isn't leaking / spraying when it
shouldn't?
