Re: Cop Stories!!

Not long after putting a chip and pulley in my G60 Corrado, I was
driving home (uphill from the bottom of Westwood Northern Blvd, from
the Hopple St. Viaduct, for you from Cincy) about 1:00am. It was a
warm summer weeknight and the road was totally empty. I leave from the
light and redline every gear up the hill, loving that car, feeling the
grip around the curves from my new Yoke AVS Intermediates...and coming
downhill was a cop. Just as he disappeared around the curve behind me
- which was no time at all, hell I was approaching 75 - I saw his
flashers and brake lights come on. Knowing I was done for, and not
wanting a chase, I just pulled over and did my normal routine:
interior light on, window down, hazards on, license and registriation
in my hand, both hands on the wheel (the last thing I need is for a cop
to feel threatened approaching my car). Cop comes to the window all
mad, "Man, you were flying, don't you know the limit, what's the hurry
etc. etc." I said "well sir, it's warm, it's dry, the road is empty,
I'm stone sober...I can't think of a better time to speed."

He held back his laughter, checked me on his computer, gave me a tounge
lashing, and let me off with a warning! Lucky me...
