Hmmmm....describe "seal"....where exactly is the leak?

Theoretically, the WP can leak from the shaft, the gasket, any hose
connecting to it, the t-stat, or the junction between the WP and the
block.

If you can eyeball the source, then a fix may be relatively easy (you
can remove the front of the WP by itself, IIRC, but it's still a bit
involved).  Otherwise, if the leak is coming from some mysterious place
behind it, then you are going to have to remove the entire WP (vs. just
the "face" or impeller assembly).  In that case, replace the thing,
they ain't that costly.  But remember to get the new O-ring that seals
the pump to the block, it's the same one as the t-stat.
