I can't agree more.  Try driving around in a rocc with no door pannels,
no back seat or pass seat and an old radio with the knobs missing.  I
leave the old beater unlocked and no one even goes near it :)

I thought a cheap radio would be a deterrent too.  Until the day someone
broke in to my Rabbit and stole the 8 TRACK PLAYER!  Back in the days
when radios had knobs, I found that no one would touch a radio if the
knobs were missing.
