You got that right.  Most new VW owners around here don't know (or care)
what a Scirocco is.

I have to chime in here....

I don't think the majority of them are *enthusiasts* such as ourselves. AND
those are probably newer VWs too. My wife wanted a 2000 Jetta, could I talk
her into a cheaper and COOLER VW?   HELL NO. She is NOT a VW enthusiast even
though we own 3 VWs. Most of the owners of these newer VWs don't even know
what a Scirocco is. They might as well be driving a Honda or Toyota
Corolla....it's 4-wheels and a reliable drive train.

Tberk: why is it such a rare thing to have wives that like VW? I
mean according to you'all (myself: wife owned the rocco and
introduced me to 4 cyl german cars) it's like a rare thing, but
every day I drive in this city of Montreal, and I started noticing
that more women drive the golf, jetta and passats than the men do.
so if more women like vw, why is it so hard to find one ?
