Sounds like shit!

    It just came to me today that my car (88 rocco 16v) sounds like shit, im 
not sure what it is, i suspect the downpipe is loose or i got a leak 
somewhere, am i getting warm?? or am i cold?,
     I think this because it just doesnt sound like anything, it kinda 
reminds me of when chevy guys will take their mufflers off, it just sounds 
shitty and loud and rough. Any reply would be much appreciated.
