The only reason you would need impact sockets is that they are easier on the
nut/bolt and they are easier on the impact gun since they are a softer metal
that chromium whatever.  Again this depends on how much you are going to use
them!!  I bought a small 1 inch extension in impact so I could save my
impact guns and I believe sometimes the nuts/bolts get tighter and are
broken loose easier with a harder metal socket!  If you will only use them
to pull wheels and axle nuts then buy those sockets, watch out buying whole
sets though usually half the sockets you will never use!!
