another 2.0L question...

Is it possible to use 82.5mm pistons and just use a 92.8mm crank in a 1.8L
block this is for a PL I am reffering to, or would the interrmediate shaft
be in the way?

The only reason I say this is becasue autotech sells a kit to make a 1.8
into a 2.0 but they said that the interrmediate shaft would have to be
altered or modified along with the oil pump.  anyone have any
info/experience on this.
