Overbore w/ stock pistons?

  That's the question...if you were to use the stock pistons
with new (stock) rings, can you do a *slight* overbore...just
enough to clean up the bores if they have some scoring?
If so, can anyone with some first-hand experience share some
specs that are acceptable...
  Also, I have yet to find a website with pics and tips for
doing an engine rebuild...anyone know of one?
