I am glad people are interested! As far as how development is going,
it goes something like this:

The first phase of the project was to replace the transmission that
blew up the weekend I was going to try to buy some electronic
components to start working on the project, because I have no need
for lights on a car that does nothing more than spew gear oil all
over the ground.

The second phase of the project is now to replace the alternator
that, literally, broke off the car last night, because a light
control system does me no good if my car is not generating any power.

The third stage will be to pray that my car gives me enough of a
break between catastrophic failures to order some components.

Which leads into the fourth stage, which is actually getting this
idea off the drawing board, and into a working system.





The goal is to overcome the deliberate nature of the process.
