I only think it is a problem if your tank has not been cleaned in afew years
as deposit reside at the bottom of your tank (namely rust) but I usually run
mine to the beginning of red line since they clean/pressure tested my tank
last MAY :)
and I have bno problem sucking the gaz in.

Kilometers :)

Thinking a bit more about my fuel mileage, my problem could be the 17"
wheels. I'll have to wait till I put my snows on to see if that is the
*problem* or not. Hopefully!

95% of the time I don't run the tank lower than a quarter, but the odd time
I do, is where I got my "tank mileage" from. It's hard on the fuel pump to
run the tank too low isn't it?

Miles on a tank of gas?
What is a tank of gas?....13 galUS? 13.5? 12? How many of you run your
tank until it's empty? THAT'S a "tank of gas". Miles per gallon is the
universal, precise way of stating fuel mileage (or kilometers/liter).

That said, all you featherfeet, ...what are your mpg's? I've gotten as
high as 33.1 on a 12-hour (80-85mph for literally hours at a time) run from
San Diego to Salt Lake City. Then, this year on the identical trip (except
about 40degrees F. warmer), the 'Roc and I got only 30mpg. The 'Roc is a
stock 16V with 190K miles on it.

I must be doing something wrong... if I'm lucky, I'll get 400 kms out of a
tank. Hmmm... new O2 sensor, plugs, 94 octane gas, etc as well. Think I need

to check into this!
