But Chris, Aren't there at least _some_ issues with installing a certain
few (as in ANY & All) M/Cs in the early A1 cars? It comes to mind that I
was counseled against trying to use the A2 GTI master cylinder because
the pedal assembly (and corresponding push rod) would fit in the 81 Roc.

Basic point you make about the brake light switch is well founded.
