RE: Scirocco issues

Things like this are pure hell when they are happening, but make great
stories a few years down the road.

I believe this is a Federal law and it is called the "Lemon Law". I had a
similar thing happen to me when I bought a "mechanics special" 85 Sedan
DeVille (I was young and stupid). I drove it around the block and it seemed
fine. The salesman said he drove it to work and back on the freeway
everyday and it was fine. Checked the fluids and there was no coolant!!
Added water to get home and it blew steam and smoke out the rear. DIDN'T
know about the lemon law so I got it home and rebuilt the heads. Had a
knock after that (wrist pin I think) and sold it to a used car lot for $750
after I had about $1500 plus my labor into it. The ONLY car I came out
backwards in!! I should of figured something was wierd when the car
salesman was telling me about how he was dieing of cancer and stuff.
Anyway, I could of just called the guy and had him come and tow it back to
the lot and get my money back as long as it was within 72 hrs of buying the
car. Oh well, live and learn!!
