Right.  Cruise control was supposed to be a "late-introduction" option on 
mid-year 1987 16Vs.  It was, however, my understanding that VW never got 
around to finishing it before the car was canned in 1988, so it wasn't 
offered.  It could be though that only a few cars got it.  No one other 
than Eric (who takes too many hallucinogens anyway) has seen one. :)  [j/k
