Maybe you could use the front engine mount from an early 80's GM front wheel
drive car. The mounts would be easy to fab up, and the mount itself, usually
called the dogbone because of its shape, runs about $15, if that. Whether or
not it'll work for you, I dunno, but your cost for the parts shouldn't
exceed $50.
