If your A/C belt broke the alternator is fine. the A/C belt turns the alt
belt.

you NEED a new A/C belt.
go get one.
install it.
you'll only need a few simple hand tools and if your slow and like to take
alot of breaks. maybe and 1 - 2 hours for completed job.
