If there's even a little oil on the bearing caps during assembly there
shouldn't be any problem. I'd look at all the external covers, the engine
mount that you R & R'd and make sure the intermediate shaft pulley bolt is
tight if you took it off for any reason.
I would think that if you had managed to put the cam beaing caps on
backwards the cam would be soo jammed it wouldn't turn, so I doubt that's
the problem.
