Camshafts?

I want to put a cam in my 84 GTI. it already has the big throttle body, 4-2 
manifold with TT downpipe, etc... I want as much horsepower as is daily 
driver liveable from this cam. I am looking to buy either a G-grind, or a 
Schrick 276 mechanical. I know the G-grind will be like having a stock cam 
with more lift, but what about the Schrick? any input? thanks
