I'd prefer a 10:1 2.0 8v. If you want a decent quiet exhaust, get a
Techtonics with the optional second resonator, and make sure not to remove
the cat.  Also, a lot of noise comes from modded intakes, so I'd stick
with a stock airbox.

Definitely check where the rear axle beam mounts up, as well as the
footwell areas. Just like a 'rocco. :)
