Re: Backfire in airbox, timing issues?



It's real easy to mis-index the intermediate shaft when replacing the timing
belt which can change ignition timing. Did you recheck you ignition timing.
Sounds like it's advanced if the idle is high. In reference to your later
post, if it was 180 out the engine wouldn't even run.
