I think you'll be fine. IIRC, the CIS-E (and prolly CIS-motronic) fuel pumps 
operated at a different fuel pressure (I'm thinking lower, but I could be 
wrong) Safest bet would be to use the fuel pump from the 2.0 16v cars. In 
either case, there are internal pressure regulators that make sure the 
system pressure is right.

And BTW, it's spelled Fuel.
